We, the People -- Have the Power!

The outcome of discourse can either be both, negative and positive -- depends on what the whole topic is about. Ofcourse in some conversations there is going to be some people that are going to agree and some are going to disagree with what you have to say. We can express our feelings and give someone our thoughts about anything. The great thing about that is, you can go from there to anywhere. That's the amazing thing about discourse, some conversation are interesting and can be powerful. Uniting people and discuss about ways to help out the Earth, in the end you will have a group of people with huge and important things to say. They will be powerful, but what makes them powerful? Their speech and the listeners.

I actually went through my dictionary and looked up the word, "discourse." This is what the dictionary had to say about the word discourse, communication of thought by words; talk; conversation. Discourse can also be a formal discussion of a subject in speech or writing. Discourse can be really powerful and can be dangerous or might benefit ourselves for the better; giving us hope or giving us ideas. Discourse is a huge part of everyone's lifes. We all are human beings, we need eachother. Just the other day, my friend and I were talking about life. Talking about that we all need each other to be happy. "We, human beings are just bacterias on this earth. We all are humans we are just trying to keep our species alive. The government is killing human beings when we need them to live. If you are in a room all by yourself, with nobody else. You will go crazy and be sad. That's why people go to jail, they are isolated from the people." This conversation went forever and we talked about some more interesting things. In todays world, discourse is everywhere. Some can use it for good and some just limits discourse and that's when it becomes dangerous.

Do you watch the daily news? What is a anchorman's job? Does he have the power to say what he wants to say? An anchorman is a television reporter who coordinates a broadcast to which several correspondents contribute. So what the anchorman is really doing, is reading a script. Even if he doesn't agree with what they tell him, he still has to say it, because its his job.

No one is a a better speaker than you are, but to be honest to be a speaker you have to be a listener at the same time. You are the one that has the power; nobody else has your ideas nor your opinions. Nobody knows what's going through your mind, nobody can read minds. You have the power to speak. So say what you want to say and be heard! You have the power!
