Blog Post 7

Postmodernism, I have to be honest this section was kind of confusing for me, and I look forward to discussing it in class, but this will be my best attempt at the blog question. The first thing I find wrong with postmodernism is the fact that how can anything be postmodern because essentially every new day is a modern day, so how would anyone be able to create something that hasn't been created yet. If anything it should be called premoderism, because its happening before modern things happen. Now Ill easily just confuse myself if I ramble on about that. However the distinct differences in the two paintings are the first one is a painting of shoes, clear and simplistic. compared to warhols which is if I can tell a negative, or a special effect on top of hanging shoes, they are both drastically different but both are paintings about shoes. Yet one is slapped with postmodernism, and this I do not understand why. I can only hope that class will clear my confusion with this topic.
